Physicochemical Properties:

Colorless, fluid and flammable liquid with medium volatility, with a special odor of ether. It can form azeotropes with water, isopropanol, acetone, acetonitrile and ethanol.

 

Applications and Usages:

Used as a solvent, used for concentrated recovery of dilute solutions of acetic acid or butyric acid, used as an extraction solvent for sodium thiocyanate in the wet process of acrylic fiber
