Properties: Properties a pure product of anhydrous sodium carbonate is a white powder or fine particles.  melting point 851 ℃  relative density 2.532, soluble in water, the aqueous solution is strongly alkaline. At 35.4 deg C the solubility of the maximum, per 7.0g water can dissolve 49.7g sodium carbonate (0 deg C for 100g, 45.5 deg C for g). Slightly soluble in anhydrous ethanol, insoluble in propanol.
