Physicochemical Properties: 

A reddish-brown or black leaf-like crystal, easy to deliquescence. The relative density is 3.11, and it decomposes into simple substances when it is higher than 500°C. Insoluble in cold water and carbon disulfide, decomposed in hot water, hardly soluble in ethanol, soluble in hydrochloric acid.

Applications and Usages: 

Used as a spectroscopically pure reagent.
