Chemical properties:

Sodium hypophosphite, also known as sodium hypophosphite, is a colorless crystal or white granular powder with pearly luster. Deliquescence, strong heat will explode. It can also explode if mixed with potassium chlorate or other chlorinating agents. Soluble in hot ethanol and glycerin, soluble in water. Slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether. The aqueous solution is neutral and strongly reducing.

The use of sodium hypophosphite:

It is mainly used as a reducing agent for electroless plating. Large-scale equipment and small objects that cannot be electroplated; objects with complex shapes that require high precision and concave and convex patterns; objects that require high surface hardness and wear resistance on the inner wall of deep holes; plastics, ceramics, glass, The surface of non-metallic materials such as quartz is metallized to obtain a dense and uniform nickel-phosphorus coating that is better than electroplating. Widely used in electronics, aviation, machinery, petroleum and other industries. It can also be used to synthesize various water treatment agents, catalysts and stabilizers for chemical reactions, interfacial activators for resins, molecular weight regulators, heat stabilizers and food additives.
