Fluoroelastomers/Fluororubber
Fluoroelastomers/Fluororubber
Introduction:
It is a blended fluoropolymer
processing additive powder designed for improved
performance in polyethylene resins. The additive contains
fluoropolymer powder and granular polyethylene.
Advantages:
• Processing improvements in all types of polyolefins
• Ease of feeding when high blend ratios are required
• Ease of handling
• Easily dispersed, due to fine particle starting point
• Uniformity of low ratio blends is improved over pellet blends
Formulation Guidelines:
To assist in resin formulation, the following can be used as
a general guide:
Elimination of Sharkskin Melt Fracture, ppm
In standard film resins : 600–1,200
In heavily filled or pigmented film: 1,200–1,800
Reduction of Die Buildup, ppm : 100–400
These numbers are intended to be starting points for
formulation. The actual level required will depend on a
multitude of factors.
Typical Physical Properties:
Appearance : Pale white to light amber, uniform free-flowing powder
Packaging : 20-kg bag
Shelf Life, yr : 4*
