Use:

Lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6), as an electrolyte for lithium-ion batteries, is mainly used in lithium-ion power batteries, lithium-ion energy storage batteries and other daily-use batteries, and is an irreplaceable electrolyte for lithium-ion batteries in the near and mid-term.

Electrolyte is one of the key raw materials of lithium batteries. Lithium batteries are mainly composed of four parts: positive electrode material, negative electrode material, electrolyte and separator. Among them, the electrolyte is the "blood" of the lithium battery, which conducts ions and electrons between the positive and negative electrodes. A suitable electrolyte must have the following properties: high ionic conductivity, wide electrochemical stability window, good thermal stability, safety and low toxicity, so as to ensure that lithium batteries have the advantages of high voltage and high specific energy. As one of the key raw materials of lithium batteries, the cost of electrolyte accounts for about 5%-13% of the production cost of lithium batteries.

Lithium hexafluorophosphate is the most important component of lithium battery electrolyte cost, accounting for about 43% of the total cost of electrolyte. The production technology threshold of lithium hexafluorophosphate is relatively high, especially the production of high-purity crystalline lithium hexafluorophosphate. It can be said that lithium hexafluorophosphate, as a cutting-edge material in the lithium battery industry, is worthy of the name of the soul of the electrolyte.

Lithium hexafluorophosphate is one of the important components in the electrolyte of lithium-ion batteries. Compared with LiBF4, LiAsF6, LiClO4 and other electrolytes, it has the most advantages in terms of solubility, conductivity, safety and environmental protection in organic solvents, and has become the current application range. The most widely used lithium salt electrolyte.
