Zinc Nitrate Hexahydrate
Zinc nitrate hexahydrate
Other name: Zinc nitrate, Zinc nitrate hydrate
Molecular formula: ZN(NO3)2.6(H2O)
Molecular weight: 297.49
CAS No.: 10196-18-6
EINECS: 600-255-3
Physicochemical Property:
Colorless crystal, easy to deliquescence. The relative density is 2.065, the melting point is 36.4°C, and all the water of crystallization is lost at 105-131°C. Soluble in water and ethanol, the aqueous solution is weakly acidic and oxidizing, and it can cause combustion when it comes into contact with flammable materials. Harmful if swallowed.
Applications and Usages:
Zinc nitrate is often used as electrogalvanizing and preparing iron and steel phosphating agent, printing and dyeing mordant, medicine acidification catalyst, latex gelling agent, resin processing catalyst, etc.
