Applications and usages : 

In the metallurgical industry, sodium cyanide is used to extract precious metals such as gold and silver.

In the electroplating industry, sodium cyanide serves as a primary component for plating copper, silver, cadmium, and zinc.

Used in the synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates and in the synthesis of pesticides. In the machinery industry.

Used as a mordant and for liquid carburizing and nitriding of steel. 

Storage: 

The temperature in the storage area should be kept below 25°C to prevent the polymerization or decomposition of sodium cyanide. It should be stored in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated environment, avoiding exposure to direct sunlight and high humidity. Suitable materials and containers should be available to collect any spills or leaks, and a containment barrier should be set up, with the ground undergoing anti-permeation treatment. The storage area should be equipped with sufficient exhaust systems.
