A reddish-brown or black leaf-like crystal, easy to deliquescence. the relative density is 3.11, and it decomposes into simple substances when it is higher than 500°C. lnsoluble in cold water and carbon disulfide, decomposed in hot water, hardly soluble in ethanol, soluble in hydrochloric acid.
