Physicochemical Property:

Molybdenum trioxide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula MoO3. It is a colorless or yellow-white powder with orthorhombic crystals. It is very slightly soluble in water and soluble in acid, alkali and ammonia solutions.

 

Applications and Usages: 

It is mainly used for the determination of protein, phenol, arsenic, lead, bismuth, etc. It can also be used as a reducing agent for phosphorus pentoxide, arsenic trioxide, hydrogen peroxide, phenol and alcohols, and can also be used to prepare molybdenum salts and molybdenum alloys. It is used as a catalyst in the petroleum industry, and is also used in the production of metal molybdenum, enamel pigments and drugs.
