Isobutyl acetate, also known as isobutyl acetate, is an organic compound with a chemical formula of C6H12O2. It is a colorless transparent liquid, slightly soluble in water, and miscible in ethanol and ether. It is mainly used for nitro spray paint and varnish. Solvents can also be used to make spices. Miscible with various organic solvents such as alcohols, ethers and hydrocarbons.
It is mainly used as a thinner for nitro-lacquer and perchlorethylene paint, as well as a solvent, a thinner for plastic printing paste, and an extractant for the pharmaceutical industry..
