applications and uses:octenyl succinic anhydride (osa) has excellent performance in improving the compatibility between hydrophobes and starch. it is a starch modification additive in the production process of pure rubber. it can by changing the properties of starch, the modified product can be used as paper coating, thickener, stabilizer and wrapping agent.
osa can also be used as a curing agent for epoxy resin, and the cured product has toughness, moisture resistance and excellent electrical properties. when osa is mixed with other anhydride curing agents under proper proportioning conditions, a cured product with better performance can be obtained.
